최프로 's 한 줄"지금이 작별할 순간" 카카가 작별을 말했다. 현역 은퇴를 말한건 아니었지만 그럴것으로 보인다.
카카는 자신의 인스타그램에 일요일이 그의 올란도에서의 마지막 경기가 될 것이라고 밝혔다.
작별 인사를 하지만 자신은 행복하고 기쁘고, 올란도 유니폼을 입은 공식 경기는 이번주 일요일이 될 것이라고 했다. 항상 경기장을 찾아줬던 팬들에게 감사의 말을 전하며, 옆에 있어줬던 팀원들, 스텝과 감독, 코치들의 열정으로 클럽이 잘 성장할 수 있었다며 감사의 인사를 전했다. 마지막으로 3년간 자신의 성공과 업적을 위해 서포터해준 스폰서와 기자들에게도 감사하며, 자신은 계속 팀을 응원할 것이고 영원히 라이온(올란도 상징)이 될 것이라고 했다.
프로로서의 다음 도전이 기대된다고도 말했다.

지금의 메시와 호날두가 있기 전, 마지막 황제는 카카였다.
2000년대 초반 해성같이 등장한 카카는 밀란을 하드캐리하며 하얀펠레라는 별명으로 불렸다. 그후 레알 마드리드에 입단했다. 생각보다 잘 풀리지 않았던 레알 마드리드 였지만, 축구계를 대표하는 아이콘으로서 많은 사랑을 받았다.
그리고 미국으로 떠나 2014년 올란도에 입단, 77경기 25골 19도움을 올렸다. 올해 12월 31일을 끝으로 계약은 종료된다.
공식적으로 선수 은퇴를 선언하진 않았지만 최근 인터뷰를 보면 경기 후 통증을 느끼고 있고, 뛰는게 즐겁지 않다고 했던 것을 봤을땐 은퇴를 하지 않을까 한다.
